explosives and a melange of smells

After the dust had settled, we picked our way through the rubble. I shook my head, I had been totally against the idea, and so had Anaya, but John and Roger had managed to convince Jeremy that it would be a good idea to make our own entrance, using explosives, rather then trying to find another way in.
Anaya was coughing beside me; the dust just had added yet another scent to the melange of smells that was the forest.
